Super Eagles top striker Odion Ighalo has arrived at the Eagles camp to increase the number of players in camp ahead of the World Cup qualifier game, which comes up on Saturday. The number of players in the Super Eagles camp has now increased to 23 following his return.
Odion Ighalo Announced his Arrival
Odion Ighalo arrived in Tangier, Morocco, on Thursday afternoon. The Super Eagles player called back from retirement announced his arrival via the Super Eagles Facebook page. The message reads: “Update! Odion Ighalo is here,” reads the statement. Enyimba goalkeeper John Noble is expected to link up with his teammates in camp later on Thursday.
Noble was handed a late invitation as a replacement for injured Francis Uzoho. On Saturday, the Super Eagles will take on the Lone Star in a matchday five-day encounter at the Grande Stade de Tanger. The three-time African champions will then host the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde in their final group game next Tuesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
