NFF Gives Measures on how FIFA Funds will be Shared
Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has admitted to having money from the football governing body FIFA and they have also finally confirmed their readiness and how they will share the money. The amount is said to be $2,000,000.00 (N773 million) relief funds they got from FIFA who are in charge of world football.
For the past few weeks, there have been serious talks on the money Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) got from FIFA with key stakeholders and pundits asking the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) board when they will share it. World football governing body FIFA took it upon themselves to help all their country members with some money due to the financial problems the outbreak of Coronavirus caused to football.
Nigeria happens to be one of the countries to benefit from the FIFA funds, all sporting activities in Nigeria was suspended since March with little or no plans of resuming this year. The Nigerian Football Federation has now made it clear that they have met with the heads of the Sports Ministry and conclusion has been made on how the FIFA money will be shared.
Clubs in the Nigerian Professional League and also the National League will also get from this money that will be shared by the NFF but Nigerian Women League will be the biggest beneficiaries of this money since they have not had consistent sponsors before for their League.
