All three of Paris St-Germain were on target as they beat Lorient 5-1 to advance their leading points to 12. Kylian Mbappe scored twice and provided three assists as they seal their Ligue 1 top place position. Brazilian star Neymar was also on target as he stroked in the opener and Paris St-Germain’s fifth, both from France International through-balls.
Kylian Mbappe scores Two and Provided Two Assist in PSG Win
Kylian Mbappe coolly drilled home in the first half and took his tally to 17 for the season with a rasping finish, before laying off for Lionel Messi’s goal. Terem Moffi pulled a goal back in the second half, but the goal was only a consolation goal. France striker Mbappe could have had a hat-trick in a virtuoso display but struck the foot of the post late on.
Earlier on Sunday, second-placed Marseille won 4-2 at Saint-Etienne, while former champions Monaco, who are sixth, edged a 2-1 victory at Metz. PSG have just their Ligue 1 camp to fight for as they have dropped out from all competitions they were in and also lost all the cups in their league except the Ligue 1 trophy.
