Manchester United board has met and concluded on the sack of their head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. An emergency meeting was held following the 4-1 loss to struggling side Watford on Saturday. The whole board meets and concluded to sack the manager but Glezer did not approve of it as of yesterday but the report reaching us now is that he has approved of the sack and Derran Fletcher will be Manchester United interim coach pending when they get a new coach.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Still Hope to Turn things Around for Manchester United
Ole Gunnar Solskjear however, thinks otherwise as he still believes he can save his side’s sinking season. Solskjaer had hoped that the resumption of the Premier League after the international break might mark a change in fortune. But the heat is now firmly back on the Norwegian after a disastrous defeat at Vicarage Road.
The lose was his fourth defeat in five Premier League games for United who have shipped 15 goals in that period and are in seventh place with 17 points 12 points behind leaders Chelsea.
After the match, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was asked if he was the man to take United forward, and he said: “I always have belief in myself but of course at the moment it is a difficult time for us.”
He further stated that: “I can see, and I trust that all the players and staff give all that they have but the results are difficult. But I believe I can turn this around.”
It was really a tough evening for United fans, and the players as well. The game got worst when the skipper of the team Harry Maguire was given his second yellow card which resulted to a red card. Nigerian International Dennis Emmanuel rounded up the scoring making it his fourth goal against Manchester United in jos career, he also provided two assists in the game.
