Manchester United gets Boost ahead of Palace Game

Manchester United has been hit with a triple injury boost ahead of his last game in charge of Manchester United. The Red Devils will travel to Crystal Palace on Sunday on what is the final day of the Premier League campaign. They need to win against Patrick Vieria’s Eagles to secure Europa League qualification for incoming manager Erik ten Hag.

Luke Shaw, Rashford, and Sancho return to Manchester United

West Ham United who is below them is just two points behind, but a win for the Hammers at Brighton could see David Moyes’ side leapfrog the Reds. In United’s latest training session at Carrington, the England internationals look to be in contention for the trip to Selhurst Park.

Luke Shaw who looked to be ruled out for the remainder of the campaign after having surgery to remove metal bolts from his leg, the left-back has given Manchester United a timely injury boost. The 26-year-old has missed the last seven English Premier League games that have come off at half-time in the 1-1 draw against Leicester City at Old Trafford last month. But he was back out on the grass at Carrington today with the rest of his teammates.

Also, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford could return to the matchday squad after an illness. The former Borussia Dortmund man has missed the last three games due to tonsillitis, while Rashford missed the 4-0 hammering to Brighton, which was one of Manchester United’s worst defeats since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, due to contracting bronchitis. The trio will be returning to a side that will be desperate for the season to end ahead of Ten Hag’s era as Manchester United boss commencing.

Rangnick will be hoping to secure victory in his final game as interim manager of the club before taking up an advisory role which he will undertake whilst being the national team coach of Austria.
