Manchester City has reportedly made contact with former Chelsea and Manchester United Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku. According to reports, the player could make a shocking return to the English Premier League.
Manchester City Make Lukaku Bid
Manchester City made contact with Argentine striker Martinez who is also liked by Spanish top side Barcelona. The English Premier League side have list the player theirr next target to replace Sergio Aguero who is considering a move to Paris Saint Germain.

Lukaku spent two seasons at Manchester United, he scored a total of 42 goals in 96 games. However, Manchester United eventually sold him out. Lukaku also played for Chelsea where he could not register a single goal in the club. He joined Everton and he was able to prove himself in the club, it was his performance that made United to pick interest in him.
Manchester City’s decision comes as a shock but fans believe Lukaku has proved himself in Italy. So far, he scored 34 goals in 51 games for Inter last season. And this season, he has scored 17 goals in 22 games.
The Belgium international has shown himself to be one of the best strikers in the world and his form could earn him a return to the Premier League.
Lukaku had spent the bulk of his career playing in England before joining Inter, with spells at Chelsea, West Brom and Everton, as well as United.
Now, according to The Telegraph, Lukaku is on the English Premier League top side transfer shortlist.
Man City has been in search of a perfect replacement for Sergio Aguero who is in the final few months of his contract.
The Telegraph says Pep Guardiola will be given a budget of £200m to spend on transfers in the summer. Signing a new striker will be a priority.
Lukaku is not the only player on his list he also has Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, and Benfica’s Darwin Nunez as well just in case Lukaku’s deal did not pull through.
A return to the Premier League would be a surprising move for Lukaku, who is under contract in Italy until 2024 and seems to have found a home at Inter.
However, City may try to tempt him to head back to England and cross the Manchester divide
