Romelu Lukaku Scores as Inter Draws Serie A Title
Romelu Lukaku is the man on fire, he can even be called goal machine, the young Belgium international scored his 18th league goal of the season as Inter Milan marked their return to Serie A action with a 2-1 win against Sampdoria. The former Chelsea and Manchester United striker Lukaku struck from 10 yards and celebrated by taking a knee in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
The second goal came from Argentine and Barcelona target Lautaro Martinez from Romelu Lukaku’s cross but Morten Thorsby pulled one back from close range. The win means Inter Milan are now third on the Italian Serie A-League table with 57 points, six points behind leaders Juventus.
Serie A returned this week after being suspended since 9th of March because of the global pandemic coronavirus, the league started with Torino who won their opening game 2-1. Romelu Lukaku and his teammates resume their title chase as they played Sampdoria and won 2-1.
The Belgium goal machine Romelu Lukaku netted his 18th goal of the season which is the highest he has scored since leaving Everton. At Everton, his goal per season was 24 goals, he is now getting closer to break that record as the league still has about eight games to go and if he will be able to keep his current form he will score even more.
