English Premier League defending champions Liverpool returned to winning ways as they beat Bundesliga side, RB Leipzig, 2-0. The Premier League side has suffered all sort of set back these past weeks. They recorded a shocking loss to Leicester City in the English Premier League Matchday 14.
Liverpool Back in Action Beat Leipzig 2-0
Liverpool showed they’re back to the game by giving their fans something to celebrate. Two second-half goals from two Africa kings Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane gave Liverpool an upper hand in the 16 Champions League’s first-leg round.
The English side dominated the entire first half but could not get a goal. Salah and Mane got the attention of the day. Another exceptional player in the game was new signing Ozan Kabak; the player was entirely in the game from start to finish.
Salah opened the scoring in Athe second half of the game after the RB Leipzig defence made a terrible mistake. He capitalized on the defensive error and made it count for his side. Five minutes later, Mane capitalized on another mistake made by the defence again.
RB Leipzig almost got a goal from Hee-Chan Hwang, but Allison Becker was on his feet to stop the ball from going in. Liverpool now has two goals advantage over the Germain side awaiting the return leg which is next month.
