Bayern Munich and Poland international Robert Lewandowski scored the 500th goal of his career as his side moved seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga. They beat bottom place Schalke 04 4-0 to seal their top place position.

Thomas Muller put his side in front with a header Lewandowski fired in from a tight angle as he scored for the eighth league game in a row. Muller scored his second with another header.
Real Madrid target David Alaba scored also to complete the scoring as the game ended 4-0 in favour Bayern Munich. Bayern coach said: “I am not totally satisfied. We scored four goals but I could see that at times we could improve our possession game.”
He also said: “We sometimes play too fast, sometimes too slow, sometimes with too much risk. There is lost possession which we can avoid.”
The attacker has joined Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the player of this century to score 500 goals. Lewandowski has been in a very good form since last season, he won the FIFA Men’s player of the year and also the Uefa Player of the year because of his performance.
