Leeds United has sacked their head coach Marcelo Bielsa after consistent back-to-back losses. The club announced that they have parted ways with the Argentine manager Marcelo Bielsa.

The club confirmed Bielsa’s exit in a statement released on Sunday. Bielsa’s departure came on the back of Leeds’ 4-0 thrashing against Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road on Saturday. Leeds has been in poor form since the start of this year. They have lost five and drawn one of their last six games.
The statement read:” Leeds can today confirm the club have parted company with head coach Marcelo Bielsa.” It also said: “The 66-year-old was in charge of the team for over three-and-a-half years, having taken the reins in June 2018.” “He transformed the club’s fortunes on the pitch, which began with the 3-1 demolition of Stoke City at Elland Road two months later and he led Leeds to the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs in his first full season in charge.
Bielsa’s contract at Leeds was already due to expire at the end of this season but the club could not wait till the end of the season again.
