Jurgen Klopp Gives up Hope on EPL Title Race
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has come out to admits that his side cannot have a successful title defence with their current form. Liverpool went down to a 1-0 home defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Premier League Matchday 22.
It was their second home loss after going unbeaten for almost four years at Anfield in the league. Jurgen Klopp’s side has failed to find the back of the net in their last three home games, which is happening for the first time since October 1984.
Liverpool has only managed to win two of their last eight league games, and it leaves them in the fourth place position and seven points behind Manchester City, the current Premier League leaders.
Jurgen Klopp said: “The gap to City… I am the manager of Liverpool, and so you ask, and I have to say we want to be champions, but you need games for it, and we need performances for it, and we don’t have that,” Klopp after the defeat to Brighton.”
The manager said they fought for three points, which is unsure who to win; he also talked about their Sunday game against Manchester City.
He spoke on the gap, and how hard it is now for them, he said last night’s game has gone, and the next is what they should hope and bank on.
