Joel Veltman Signs three-year Contract with Brighton Albion
Brighton has been active in the transfer market as they signed Netherlands defender Joel Veltman from Ajax for an undisclosed fee. Earlier this week they signed Liverpool and England star Adam Lallana their new signing is the Premier League club’s second signing of the summer
The 28-year-old Joel Veltman played more than 200 games for Ajax and has 22 international caps for Netherlands. The has penned down a three-year contract with the English Premier League side.
According to Brighton Albion manager Graham Potter, he said: “He has terrific experience from his time with Ajax including the Champions League.” “He’s an excellent defender who can play at right-back and at centre half, but he’s also comfortable in possession.”
The has been very instrumental at Ajax he made his Ajax debut in 2012, having come through the club’s academy system. When the English Premier League resumes in September we will have an idea about his Jersey number, for now, he is the latest signing in the English Premier League.
