Manchester United flop Jesse Lingard banged brace in their last English Premier League game against Aston Villa. The player who is currently on loan with former manager David Moyes at West Ham United.
Jesse Lingard Scores Two on his Debut
Following the victory, West Ham United manager David Moyes has come out to hail Jesse Lingard, and he said the player has the potential to make England’s European Championship squad.
Manchester United loanee Jesse Lingard made his first Premier League start in 13 months, it was his first game for his new side, and he did well to net a brace in his debut.
The 28-year-old scored the first in the first 60 minutes of the game before doubling it in the game’s closing stages. David Moyes said: “It is great when you bring someone in and they do well.”
He also said if he keeps up the form he showed in the game, he will not be far from Gareth Southgate’s England squad in the summer.
West Ham United remain fifth in the English Premier League table with two points behind fourth-placed Liverpool who lost against struggling Brighton at home.
