English Premier League side Manchester United had their £67m bid for England winger Jadon Sancho turned down by German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund. The German club demands £77.5m for the 21-year-old, with an additional £4.25m bonus payment on top.
Manchester United £67m Bid for Jadon Sancho Rejected
The bid was not turned down just of the price being low, but also because Manchester United is insisting they will not immediately, they want to pay to instal mentally for the period over five years. Dortmund is only willing for it to extend to four and nothing more.
The Premier League side is now considering revising their offer. They are trying to avoid a repeat of what happened in the last tie they went for the player 12 months back. In the last transfer window that they went for the player, Dortmund gave them a price for the player they tried to reduce it, believing the Bundesliga side will accept the offer and ended up not signing the player again.
Jadon Sancho is, however, calm over the whole transfer thing as he said he only had some challenges in the club in his first two seasons with the club because of the language. He also said he likes the Dortmund fans. They made him feel at home even though he was far from home. The ball is in United’s court now as Dortmund have agreed to sell the player provided their demands are met. Sancho is the only player the club is willing to sell in the front line among Erling Braut Haaland and Jude Bellingham.
