Jack Wilshere Wants Arsenal Return
Former Arsenal and West Ham United English midfielder Jack Wilshere has reportedly offered to help Arsenal in their creativity challenges. The player jovially said he will return to Arsenal in an attempt to improve their floundering form and also help out in their creative issues.
Arsenal has failed to score from open play in 450 minutes of the English Premier League football, which has resulted in just one win from their past five games. Arsenal were held by newly-promoted side Leeds United on Sunday. The game saw Arsenal’s Nicolas Pepe received a red card for headbutting Ezgjan Alioski.
Arsenal fan Piers Morgan questioned his side’s form during the stalemate and ex-Gunners star Jack Wilshere, who is currently a free agent after leaving West Ham last month. He appeared to offer himself up as a solution to fix Arsenal challenge, he said they lack creativity and he can help them with that.
The 28-year-old replied to Morgan’s tweet with hand raising emojis. Jack Wilshere made a total of 197 appearances for Arsenal after coming through their youth ranks, before joining West Ham in 2018. He won two FA Cups in 2014 and 2015. Jack Wilshere said he would be open to playing abroad as he hunts for his next club.
He said: “I think I want to try something different I am leaning towards that. Maybe LaLiga, Italy, something a little bit different that not many English players have done.
“At the same time, I am probably going to take a week or two to decide. I was in this position when I left Arsenal and if I have learned anything from that, it is to take your time and make sure it is right for you.
“Not that I have regrets that I went to West Ham because in my head things would have turned out differently. But this time I am going to take my time and find something that suits me.
“I just want to be happy playing football again. When I first signed for West Ham and the first three games when I started, before I picked up a little injury, that was probably the last time I could tell you I was happy playing football.
“I want to go back on the pitch with a smile on my face and play 20 to 30 games a season where I am an important player for a team.”
