Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Henry Onyekuru has opened his scoring record with his new Turkish side Galatasaray. The former Everton and Monaco player scored for the second consecutive game as Galatasaray bear champions Istanbul Basaksehir 3-0 at the Turk Telecom Stadium, Istanbul.
Henry Onyekuru Happy at Galatasaray
Henry Onyekuru was set up by Ryan Donk to get the perfect finish on the stroke of half-time. The Nigeria international, linked up with Fathi Terim’s side for a third loan stint scored a brace in his first game against Gaziantep FK last week.
Donk and Egypt international Mostafa Mohamed scored the other goals for Galatasaray.
Oghenekaro Etebo started the game for the hosts and was replaced at half-time by Mohamed. Henry Onyekuru has now scored three goals for the Turkish side since his return.
The former Nigerian U20 star hopes to make his loan deal with the Turkish side a parmenant one as Galatasaray seems to the place he gets the playing time and bang the goals as well. He hardly had playing time when he was playing in the Ligue 1 with AS Monaco.
