England skipper Harry Kane scored his 50th England goal as they came back to earn their first Nations League point after they played out a 1-1 draw with Germany in Munich. The Tottenham and England skipper was fouled by Nico Schlotterbeck, with the spot-kick given by the video assistant referee, and the striker sent Manuel Neuer the wrong way to level the scores.
Harry Kane’s Goal Helps England Share Point with Germany
German star player Jonas Hofmann had opened the scoring, running on to Joshua Kimmich’s pass before firing home. This was England’s first point in the 2022-23 Nations League after they lost to Hungary in Saturday’s opener before the English striker got the equalizer. England head coach Gareth Southgate has come out to praise the striker, he said the striker is an “exceptional striker” and he also praised his team’s performance and their resilience as they came from behind to draw with Germany.

It was Harry Kane’s 50th goal for his country, they were set to lose successive games for the first time since 2018 before the game came. England, runners-up in last summer’s Euro 2020 and semi-finalists at the 2018 World Cup, now have one point from their opening two Nations League matches after losing 1-0 in Hungary on Saturday.
England has two home games coming up in the Nations League, both at Wolves’ Molineux ground – against Italy on Saturday and Hungary on Tuesday, 14 June.
