Tottenham Hotspur skipper Harry Kane has been reportedly linked with possible to Manchester City, Manchester united and Liverpool. The 26-year-old English man could leave his present team if they do not proceed to next season’s Champions League.
According to Chris Sutton, he said “I can understand the predicament he is in.” “But if he wants to win the Premier League, then he should move on and go to a club who have better chance of winning it than Spurs do.”
Harry Kane is currently in contract with the North London side until 2024, but he is yet to win any trophy with the club whose last trophy was the 2008 League Cup. They played the champions league finals last season against Liverpool but was beaten 2-0 and are now out of the 2019/20 Champions League season.
They are currently out of all tournament and are currently in the eight position in the English Premier League table. Sutton added that “we all understand he wants to win something. So if he wants to win something, I wouldn’t begrudge him a move,” said the former Chelsea and Celtic striker.
“Spurs are a brilliant club, but at this moment in time, they are way behind the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City. “If one of those clubs came in for him, if you were Harry Kane you would be be stupid not to go.”
Also ex-England striker Ian Wright, also agreed with Sutton he said, he expects Harry Kane to stay at the club for at least one more year under Jose Mourinho, and if nothing comes out of it he should leave the club. “Now they have a manager who is a notorious winner of trophies,” Wright said.
“Kane did say ‘next year will be the first chance the gaffer will have to bed his values into the team’. “That says to me he is somebody who is already thinking of next year, so he’s not going anywhere. “I’d give this manager a chance with his pre-season, do next season and see where it goes. Because from when he made his debut up to now, I think he has given them everything he can.
“If nothing happens and Harry Kane decides to leave then you have you have to say ‘well, he’s under Mourinho, nothing has changed’. He wants to win medals. “You can’t have that kind of ability, that kind of goal scorer who is able to win matches, and not win anything. You can’t.”
