Manchester United former player, Marouane Fellaini has been reported to have tested positive to the COVID 19 virus, the former Manchester United and Everton player who plays in China now is the first Belgium player to test positive to the virus.
The 32-year-old, Belgium internation who plays with Chinese club side Shandong Luneng said he hopes said in his twitter account that he has tested positive to the virus. He further said: “I hope to return to the game as soon as possible”.
The Chinese media reports says Fellaini is presently in isolation at Jinan hospital, and is the hospital which is in charge of treating infectious diseases. Marouane Fellaini left Manchester United and England as a whole in 2019 after many years playing in the English Premier League. The young man is reportedly the first and only player in Chinese Super League players to have contracted the virus.
Shandong Luneng management released a statement which reads: “The official test confirmed that the player Fellaini has tested positive for coronavirus during the quarantine observation period. “During this period, the player’s body temperature has been normal and there are no other discomforts. He has received further observation and treatment at a designated medical institution.”
All sporting activities in the world has been held down by this virus and is so disheartening. The English Premier League, Italian Serie A, La Liga among others have all shut down due to this virus. The 2020 Euros which was to be played in June has been rescheduled for next year 2021.
