Manchester United’s new manager Erik ten Hag has put up five Manchester United players for sale. The players which fall under this category are Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Anthony Martial, Alex Telles, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The Ajax boss has been given the sum of £100-£150m to sign replacements, according to reports and this sum would not cover the additions he wants to make.
Erik Ten Hag to sell Five Manchester United Players
Manchester United is willing to listen to offers for five first-team players this summer after the Red Devils’ hierarchy told the Dutchman he can top up his transfer budget through player sales. The Dutchman signed a three-year deal at Old Trafford last week and would not be needing the services of the likes of Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, and Jesse Lingard. The contracts of these players will expire at the end of this term.
Erik Ten Hag is said to have already identified weak spots in the Manchester United squad and he wants to sign a center-back, a right-back, at least one central midfielder, and a striker to bolster the squad. For this reason, he is willing to part with five players to top up his transfer budget, with Manchester United’s board willing to release all additional funds from player sales.
Recently a former Manchester United right-back Danny Mills listed Cristiano Ronaldo among eight players who could be leaving the club this summer but United’s new head coach has decided he will be needing the Portuguese services that are if Ronaldo wants to remain with the club since their Champions League qualification is now in doubt.
