The English Premier League matchday 12 kicks off with Norwich hosting Watford in what it will be a battle of the underdogs. Both Watford and Norwich have not been really impressive in the current English Premier League 2019/20 campaign. Watford is yet to book their first win of the season while Norwich battles to record a second win of the season.
Norwich is just two points behind Watford and both of them are in the relegation zone. The Canaries Yellows will be playing with all their heart as a victory could see them off the relegation zone. Daniel Farke’s troops surprised Manchester City at home in their last home win but can they do the same to hungry Watford team? Over here we will give analysis based on their past meetings and records before making possible predictions in all the games. Watford will not want to be humiliated by the English Premier League newcomers and so we predict a win or draw for the away team.
Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
Chelsea will be looking to build on their impressive home display in the Champions League when they host the Eagles in the first Saturday game of the matchday 12. They will aim to extend their winning run in the Premier League to six games. Chelsea coach Frank Lampard is doing a great job with the team, and he is determined to secure a top-four finish. Key player Tammy Abraham has been enjoying his stay with the blues and he might prove a handful in the Saturday game.
Yet another man to watch in the home team will be Christian Pulisic, who scored his fourth goal of the season in a 2-1 win at Watford. The Eagles, on the other hand, failed to impress in a 2-0 loss to Leicester City at their Selhurst Park. We do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Chelsea’s party at Stamford Bridge. Taking everything into account, we predict that the Blues are going to extend their excellent winning run in the English top flight.
Tottenham vs Sheffield United
After sharing the points with Everton at Goodison Park. Tottenham will be aiming to return to winning ways when they take on Sheffield United in London. Spurs have been struggling to find their best form in the first half of the season. But given their last Champions League performance home win is certain.
Korean international Son is out of contention through suspension after breaking Andre Gomes’ leg. Still, Mauro Pochettino has a number of high-profile players to choose from, who are capable of breaking the deadlock. The Blades were impressive in their last game as they thrashed Burnley 3-0. But they face a tougher side as they travel to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs want this win more than the Blades and is a reason we are banking on Harry Kane and Co.
Leicester City vs Arsenal
High-flying Leicester City will be looking to give fans yet another reason for celebration in Matchday 12. They host Arsenal at their King Power Stadium. The Foxes made a flying start to the season, with the team losing just two out of eleven games. Brendan Rodgers’ men recorded a routine 2-0 win at Crystal Palace on Matchday 11. They are surely capable of beating Arsenal in front of home fans.
Jamie Vardy will be the man to look out for in the home team. The Gunners failed to win the previous three league fixtures. Given their shaky defense, we believe that Unai Emery’s troops can’t stop the Foxes‘ side. In their last meeting in Leicester, the Foxes outplayed the Gunners 3-0.
Manchester United vs Brighton Albion
Manchester United continue to struggle in the 2019/2020 Premier League season. They suffered a 1-0 loss at Bournemouth at the weekend. The Red Devils have collected only 13 points from possible 33. They face a must-win situation against Brighton. Considering their last home performance in the Europa League on Thursday night, a home win could be considered. Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic remain in the recovery room, ahead of the game.
A man to watch on the home side will be Marcus Rashford, who scored a wonder goal in the League Cup win over Chelsea. The Seagulls have been producing splendid performances as well, they occupy 8th position in the standings ahead of Matchday 12.
Liverpool vs Manchester City.
All eyes will be on Anfield when Liverpool and Manchester City face each other in the Premier League derby on Sunday afternoon. The Reds came from behind to beat Aston Villa at Villa Park in their last league match. The team claimed a six-point advantage over Pep Guardiola’s troops. Jurgen Klopp’s men are eyeing their first Premier League trophy since 1990, and we are positive that they are going to fight tooth and nail against Man City.
Sadio Mane, who impressed in the 2-1 victory over the Villans, is a man to watch in the home team. The Citizens recorded a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Southampton at the weekend to keep their title hopes alive. The reigning champions are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in the Premier League derby. A win visitors a win will push the visitors will push them three points closer to the league leaders. Our predictions will be both teams to score.
