German Bundesliga top side Bayer Leverkusen have completed Leicester City’s signing winger Demarai Gray for an undisclosed fee. The 24-year-old’s deal with the Foxes was due to run out in the summer. Bayer Leverkusen stepped to the sign the player until 30th of June 2022.
Demarai Gray Joins Bayer Leverkusen
English winger Demarai Gray made 133 appearances for Leicester City in the English Premier League, and he scored ten goals. The young English player said the move was a “great opportunity to gain new experience abroad at a very attractive club”.
Demarai Gray further said: “I can, and I would like to, develop here and be successful with this attractive team.” He only made two appearances for the Foxes this season, one coming in the Premier League and the other in the EFL Cup.
Bayer Leverkusen’s sporting director Simon Rolfes commenting on the player said: “Thanks to his experience in the Premier League, Demarai is a player who can help us straight away.” “He is a tricky, very fast and penetrating winger who will give our attacking game an additional boost.”
Leicester City suffers a 3-1 home defeat to Leeds United, which the manager Brendan Rodgers said the loss was because of the absence of Wilfred Ndidi and Jamie Vardy have not any replacement for the player.
