Cristiano Ronaldo Matches Josef Bican Record
Former Real Madrid and Manchester United Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo have broken yet another record as he equals Josef Bican record as top goalscorer in football history. The striker scored one in their 3-1 win over Sassuolo on Sunday.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 22nd goal for club and country this season as Juventus moved up to fourth place in the Italian Serie A. Ronaldo sealed the victory for his side Juventus as he rounded up the scoring in the 3-1 win.
Ronaldo netted his 759th goal for both club and country a record now only matched by Bican, an Austrian-Czech striker who played between 1931 and 1955.
Danilo opened the scoring for Juventus then with hammering a 30-yard thunderbolt into the bottom right-hand corner of Andrea Consigli’s goal, with the flying Italian nowhere near it. Former Arsenal player Aaron Ramsey restored Juventus’s win after Defrel equalized Danilo’s goal.
Ronaldo then added the third after calmly controlling a long ball over the top by Danilo before charging into the penalty area and slotting past Consigli. Ronaldo has been winning awards of late and matching this record is one big win for the player.
