Antonia Conte to Continue Coaching Inter Milan
Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte has agreed to continue coaching the Italian side after he held a meeting with the Italian club management board. According to the meeting, they have agreed that the Italian will “continue the project together.” It was gathered that Antonio Conte met with Inter president Steven Zhang after the ex-Chelsea boss’ first season in charge ended with Europa League final defeat.
The 51-year-old Italian who was scummed of £27 million in England was said to have criticised the club’s board after their Europa League lose and failing to win the Italian Serie A title and finishing second in the league table. Inter Milan released a statement which said: “Today’s meeting was constructive, in the name of continuity and sharing of strategy.” “With it the foundations were established to continue the project together.”
Inter lost only four league games but could not prevent Juventus claiming a ninth straight Scudetto. Antonia Conte, who led Juve to the first three of those league titles, spent a year out of management after winning the Premier League and FA Cup in his two seasons with Chelsea.
