The Chinese government will add Fentanyl-related substances to the list of their controlled drugs from 1st of May.
The move is aimed at curtailing the manufacturing and distribution of one of the worlds most powerful opiods. The news from China, can be related as a win for US President Donal Trump, who has since his campaign, taken a strong stance against Fentanyl.
Fentanyl which is an extremely powerful synthetic drug, it is 50-100 times more potent than morphine and 30-50 times more potent than heroine.
Liu Yuenjin, deputy head of Chinas national narcotics commission called the move a ‘major innovative measure’. Liu stressed that China would enforce its laws ‘even more comprehensively’ after that latest news to bring violators to justice without mercy.
