Chelsea will be playing their today’s Champions League game with some of their key players. The likes of goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and midfielder N’Golo Kante will miss the game. The game will be Graham Potter’s first game in charge and they will be playing RB Salzburg in the Champions League.
Chelsea welcomes Salzburg to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday after losing their opening Group E game to Dinamo Zagreb which led to the sack of Thomas Tuchel. 31-year-old Kante will be absent with a hamstring injury while Mendy has a knee injury.
Graham Potter is expected to otherwise have a full squad to choose from. Chelsea’s new boss will be managing in Europe’s elite competition for the first time, having previously taken Ostersund from the fourth tier in Sweden to the Europa League.
