Chelsea football club have asked all their players who have traveled to their various countries to return to England on or before Sunday. The players were allowed to travel home after coronavirus led to the league’s suspension on 13 March.
But now the English Premier League is exploring whether it can resume the league in June with the Project Restart program and fourth place Chelsea want to be fully prepared when the league is finally resume. Premier League clubs held a video conference meeting and discussed on the resumption.
Chelsea football club have given their players some sort of flexibility so they can return to the UK, they said the players should return by Sunday as travel arrangements may prove difficult after that day. Brazilian full-back Emerson and American midfielder Christian Pulisic have already returned to the United Kingdom.
Measures are set already to test all the players upon their return from their various countries and players are sure to comply with any government advice regarding quarantine. The government is set to introduce a 14-day quarantine period for those arriving from outside the UK from as early as Friday.
Several clubs, including Arsenal, West Ham and Brighton, have allowed their players to train individually at their respective training grounds, but Chelsea are yet to open up their own Cobham facility for training.
