Chelsea Battle Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United for Koulibaly
Chelsea is reportedly linked with a move for Senegal and Napoli 29-year-old defender Kalidou Koulibaly, with the hope of building their defensive line. They have already signed one midfielder and one attacker they are hoping to bring the Senegalese who is liked by both Manchester City and Liverpool.
With the two new players Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech and the hope signing £90 million rated Kai Havertz this summer if Koulibaly joins the team they will be complete and ready for the league which starts on the 12th of next. The Blues are not done in the transfer market as they hope to improve their backline and the Senegalese remain a major target for them.
Manchester City has also been linked with a move for the player but after recently adding Nathan Ake to their fold, they might not be needing him anymore. However, Napoli might not be ready to allow Koulibaly unless they sign Lille centre-back Gabriel who is due to have a medical with the Gunners this weekend.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are touted to opt for Paris Saint Germain’s Thiago Silva if City succeeds landing the 29-year-old. Frank Lampard is still looking to find Kepa Arrizabalaga’s replacement, while West Ham’s Declan Rice, and Ben Chilwell of Leicester are still on his radar. Bayern Munich’s David Alaba is also a target for the west London club with one more year on his contract with the Bundesliga champions.
