Chelsea Completes Timo Werner Deal from RB Leipzig
Chelsea football club of the English Premier League has reached an agreement with RB Leipzig, they have agreed to sign the 24-year-old on a four-year contract. The forward has agreed on personal terms with the English Premier League side he is now subject to medical test. About two weeks back Frank Lampard made contact with the player and finally they have reached an agreement with the player now
Timo Werner will join in July after the German Bundesliga 2019/20 season, Timo Werner joined Leipzig from Stuttgart in 2016, and has since been in top form for the German side, he has scored 32 goals in all competitions so far this season. He is one of the top goal scorers in the German Bundesliga this season.
According to him on joining the English Premier League side he said: “I am delighted to be signing for Chelsea, it is a proud moment for me to be joining this great club,” said the German international. Chelsea will now add the player to the two attackers they already have Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud.
His coming will really boost the team’s attacking force since Olivier Giroud is already aged and Tammy Abraham is injury prone. Timo Werner is the first player to be signed by the new Chelsea boss Frank Lampard who is yet to complete a season with the club.
