English Premier League legends Jamie Carragher of Liverpool and Roy Keane of Manchester United have disclosed that the partnership of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner will help Chelsea in the EPL 2021/22 season. Carragher, who made this known on Sky Sports Overlap show, said that more of the goal-scoring responsibility would be on Lukaku’s shoulders while Werner’s pace will come handier for the Blues.
Timo Werber scored just 12 goals in 54 appearances for Chelsea last season, which is a flawed stat for a player like him. According to Carragher, he said:” I wouldn’t write Timo Werner off because that pace that he’s got is dangerous, and I wouldn’t want to play against it.”

He also said: “That can still be a huge asset for Chelsea. Those players who play behind the striker, a lot of them are pretty similar.” “…I still see him as a dangerous player who I wouldn’t want to play against. I think he can still be a huge asset for Chelsea.”
Manchester United legend Roy Keane added, saying: ‘The staff have looked at him and thought maybe he is a bit short and that’s why they’ve brought Lukaku in. But you still persevere with him.” “He still gives Chelsea something they haven’t got with his pace. It’s Lukaku’s job now to get 25 goals, Werner needs to get 10-15, and I think he can do that with less pressure.”
