Defending champions of the German Bundesliga and Uefa Champions League Bayern Munich suffered a shocking loss to lower-league side as they knocked them out of the German Cup.

Bayern Munich Suffers Deep Form Loss
The game ended in a stalemate as they headed into penalties. The first ten penalties in the shootout were all scored, but Kiel goalkeeper Ioannis Gelios denied Marc Rota, as Bartels scored the winner for his side.

Their last defeat by a lower-league side was in 2003-04 when they lost 2-1 to Alemannia Aachen a second league side in the quarter-finals. The lower league side Kiel has never played in the Bundesliga in its current format, and are third in the second tier.
Bayern form keeps dropping, and it has been raising questions as they were stunned from 2-0 win to 3-2 loss in their last league game.
