English Sky Bet Championship side Barnsley have reportedly shown interest in Scottish-born Nigerian international Ethan Erhahon. The club is willing to sign the player who is currently playing for St Mirren.
The 20-year-old Erhahon had a loan spell with Barnsley in the Championship in the 2019-20 season and has proven himself in the club, which is why the club wants him.
Barnsley Wants Ethan Erhahon
Barnsley now wants to make Ethan Erhahon’s deal with them a permanent one after shining for Jim Goodwin’s Saints last season. The versatile player still has two years to run on his contract with St Mirren, but the Championship side is willing to sign him regardless.
Barnsley is considering a move this summer and could table an offer of around £250,000 plus add-ons, though Saints are likely to put a higher value on the midfielder. They could be tempted to cash in on Erhahon now and use the money to further freshen up their squad ahead of the new Premiership season.
The player is born in Scotland to Nigerian parents. He has represented Scotland at several youth international levels, and he has also made a debut for the under-21 national team in June 2021. He is yet to make a senior team debut which makes him still open for Super Eagles call-up.
