Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun was shown a straight red card although his side Rangers stilled rallied to claim a 3-1 win at Motherwell to cut the Celtic lead at the top of the table. The rangers who are the defending champions of the Scottish Premiership are on 79 but just three points behind leaders Celtic, who will reclaim the top spot if they beat Ross County tomorrow.
Leon Balogun sent out in Rangers win over Motherwell
Rangers went in front following an own goal by Liam Kelly, Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun was sent off in the 28th minute for his challenge on Dean Cornelius. Motherwell then took advantage of the sending-off and put one through to level the scores in the 35 minutes of the game through Ross Tierney.

Two minutes into the second half Rangers took the lead thanks to Scott Wright before James Tavernier got the Scottish champions’ third from the penalty spot. Balogun’s Nigerian teammates Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo were also in action for the Rangers.
