Arsenal Made Two of their Loan Players Contract a Permanent One
Arsenal has reportedly reached an agreement with both Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares to join the club on a permanent basis after the two players joined them on loan last season in the January transfer window. The Spanish centre-back and the Portuguese wing-back have improved in the course of eight months which has now earned them secured contracts with the Gunners.
Mari came in from Brazilian side Flamengo after helping the Brazilian side win the Copa Libertadores and played in the World Club Cup final as well, losing to Liverpool. The 26-year-old made three appearances for Arsenal before suffering an ankle injury against Manchester City after the three-month break.
The left-footed central defender originally left City for Flamengo but has had three different loan spells with Girona during the 2016/17 season, then with NAC Breda in the 2017/18 campaign, before returning to Spain for the 2018/19 term with Deportivo La Coruna. Arsenal has now made his deal a permanent one.
On the other hand, Cedric completed a permanent move from Southampton, where he has made over 100 appearances for the St, Marys’ side. The 28-year-old Portuguese played five Premier League matches during the restart and scored an amazing goal in Arsenal’s 4-0 thrashing of Norwich City.
Arsenal is doing everything possible to build their team ahead of next season also next season’s Europa League which they won thanks to to the 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the FA Cup finals.
