Arsenal ignited their top-four hopes with a win over Wolves at the Emirates on Thursday night. Wolves went up through Hwang Hee-Chan in the first ten minutes of the game. They went into halftime with that advantage but the home side fought back in the second half of the game.
Arsenal Came from Behind to Beat Wolves 2-1
Ivorian international Nicolas Pepe levelled the scores for Arsenal through Nketiah’s pass with just eight minutes left to play. The Gunnars completed the comeback through Jose Sa’s own goal in the fifth minute of stoppage-time and completed the dramatic win for Mikel Arteta’s men.
Alexandre Lacazette, who had missed a succession of earlier chances, forced the goal, his close-range effort bouncing in off the Wolves goalkeeper for the winner. The win moved Mikel Arteta’s side up to the fifth-place position a point off Manchester United with two games in hand.
