Arsenal is reportedly interested in former Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone. Mikel Arteta is thought to be in the market for a new stopper as doubts grow over Bernd Leno’s Emirates future. Also, Sheffield United ace Aaron Ramsdale has been strongly linked with a move to the club.
Arsenal and Tottenham battle for Sam Johnstone
The goalkeeper had an impressive stay with West Brom as he impressed in 131 games for the Baggies over the past three seasons. And Johnstone’s good form earned him a place in England’s Euro 2020 squad. Arsenal is not the only club coming for the goalie as north London rivals Tottenham have also shown interest in the keeper.
Should Arsenal sign the keeper, he will be the third player to join Mikel Arteta’s side after signing Nuno Traves and Belgian midfielder Albert Lokonga from Anderlecht on Monday.
