Both European draws take place on Monday 13 December from 11:00 GMT in Nyon, Switzerland. Unai Emery’s Villarreal only needed a point to join group winners Manchester United who played out a 1-1 draw against Young Boys in the knockout stage.

Villarreal top Atalanta with three points thanks to Arnaut Danjuma’s brace and Etienne Capoue’s goal. Atalanta will continue their title chase in the Europa League alongside Barcelona, F.C Porto, Dortmund, among clubs who also fell to the Europa League.
