Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger has finally come out to speak on his transfer which has been troubling the hearts of Chelsea fans. According to the German international, he is not rushing into signing a new contract with the club as it will be “the most important decision” of his career.

Rudiger’s future remains the subject of much speculation, with the former AS Roma player’s deal at Stamford Bridge due to expire next June. Several clubs, including Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich, have all shown interest in the player. If he refuses to sign a new contract, he may be signed on a free transfer basis.
The 28-year-old has insisted that he has not been in talks with any club other than Chelsea, but he is not prepared to rush a decision on his future. He said: “For me, this will now be the most important decision of my professional career. I haven’t spoken to any other club than Chelsea.”
Antonio Rudiger has been a critical player for Chelsea since Thomas Tuchel’s arrival as head coach. In contrast, he has already featured on seven occasions at club level this term, scoring once.
