Following the 2-2 draw between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, Spurs head coach Antonio Conte has insisted that Liverpool’s second goal should have been disallowed. The manager is not the only manager that is complaining as Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp also said his player’s red is not fair as Tottenham’s skipper also deserved a red card too.
Antonio Conte Cries Foul in Liverpool 2-2 Draw
Antonio Conte said members of his coaching staff saw Mohamed Salah handle the ball before Andy Robertson headed the ball in to put the Reds ahead in the game. He said “My staff said to be the second [Liverpool] goal was a clear handball. Clear, a clear handball.”

He also said: “I think it’s not right to comment on refereeing decisions after the game. I don’t know if Jurgen wanted to comment on this, but I can tell you my staff said to me it was incredible to give the second goal and not to disallow it, because there was a clear handball from Salah.”
The manager concluded that the game was no doubt an exciting one with great emotions for the people who saw it. He said it is however not good for people to see such officiating in front of the referee. Harry Kane opened the scoring in the first 13 minutes of the game but Diogo Jota leveled the scores in the 35th minute of the game. Liverpool went in front through Robertson’s goal.
Heung-Min Son ensured Spurs got a point, as he pounced on Liverpool’s goalkeeper Alisson Becker’s error in the second half before the game ended 2:2, making Liverpool fall three points behind Manchester City who thrashed Newcastle United 4-0.
