Adidas Accused of Being Racist in Zouma’s Case

Fans have taken to social media to criticise sportswear giant, Adidas after they announced that they have withdrawn sponsorship of West Ham and France Footballer Kurt Zouma following the report of him kicking his cat. Zouma, a black French footballer has been under heavy criticism after a video surfaced on Sunday showing him kick his cat severally.

Fans Accuse Adidas of Supporting Racism

His club West Ham United have fined him £250,000 for the act, the pets have been seized from him while they announced a termination to its endorsement of the footballer. Fans are against the brand because in 2014, then Liverpool forward Luis Suarez, a white Uruguayan footballer was only warned by Adidas after he racially abused Manchester United footballer, Patrice Evra.

Fans have now taken to Twitter to accuse them of being racist. A Twitter user wrote: “Adidas warned Luis Suarez after he racially abused Patrice Evra but ended its sponsorship deal with Kurt Zouma for kicking his cat”
