Adesua Etomi and Banky W on Self-Isolation for Covid-19

Nigerian celebrity couple, Adesua Etomi and her husband, Bankole Wellington are said to be on self-isolation on the light of the information delivered by the Lagos state government. Many of the attendees of the just concluded African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) held at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island Lagos were said to have been exposed to Covid-19.

Adesua Etomi and Banky W were one of the stars present at the movies’ award. The Nollywood celebrity couple were one of the guests in a night full of glitz and glamour. The state where the event occurred, Lagos has the highest cases of covid-19 and it has been announced that one of the confirmed cases attended the AMVCA night. Attendees which have some in fashion styled anti-coronavirus mask are said to have been exposed to the dreaded coronavirus infection during this time.

Attendees at the said even have been advised to observe self-isolation, call the toll-free line if they notice any of the covid-19 symptoms, and also practice social distancing to prevent the spread of the virus.

In respect to this, some of the attendees through their social media accounts have been said to be have given into the information among which is Ebuka-Obi-Uchendu (TV host), Beverly Naya (Nollywood actress), Adesua Etomi, Banky W among others.

Through her Twitter page @AdesuaEtomiW, the Nollywood star tweeted ‘’To all of us who attended the AMVCA-please let’s stay indoors. I’m begging you. Let’s be responsible. Edakun. Bubba and I have been indoors for a few days now but it’s imperative that we ALL adhere to call to self-isolate. Let’s not unknowingly put others at risk’’

Meanwhile, the governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu have since said his team are already seeing compliance in several quarters and that it just needs to be scaled up.

We just want to inform others to follow the government’s directives at this time. Self-isolation, social distancing and maintaining personal hygiene are very important in time like this. Please stay healthy and safe.
