Paris St-Germain has completed the signing of Inter Milan right-back Achraf Hakimi on a five-year deal. The 22-year-old Morocco international was linked to English Premier League side Chelsea, but the player has finally signed for French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
Achraf Hakimi Joins Paris Saint-Germain
Chelsea wanted to sign the player, and they intended to Spanish full-back Marcos Alonso in the deal, but it has failed now as he has signed for PSG. Achraf Hakimi scored seven goals and provided eight assists last season to help Inter Milan lift their first Serie A title since 2010.

Speaking on his signing, he said: “I feel a great sense of pride.” “After Spain, Germany and Italy, Paris St-Germain offers me the chance to discover a new championship with one of the most prestigious clubs in the world.” Achraf Hakimi started his career at Real Madrid and enjoyed a two-year loan spell with Borussia Dortmund before joining Inter in 2020.
The player is the latest player to join Mauricio Pochettino’s side after signing Liverpool and Georginio playmaker Wijnaldum on a free transfer. Paris Saint-Germain wants to make sure they make amends from last season errors as they lose the league to Lille.
