Cameroon captain, Vincent Aboubakar who won the golden boot award for scoring the hight number of goals in the just concluded 2021 African Cup of Nations which was won by Senegal in a penalty shoot-out against Egypt has been said to have been cheated. Football fans believe that the player deserves the award given to Mane who was the player of the tournament.

Sadio Mane and Edouard Mendy won awards following the conclusion of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON. Senegal and Chelsea goalkeeper Mendy won the best goalkeeper but some fans are saying Egypt keeper should have won the award if it is based on individual performance which should be the actual criteria for the award.
Vincent Aboubakar scored eight goals in the tournament to become the second player to score up to that amount in the history of the African Cup of Nations. Aboubakar was the man of the moment in all of their games, a scoring brace in two different games in the tournament. Liverpool forward Sadio Mane was given the best player of the tournament because of the player’s impact on the team.
