Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has notified the Three Lions of England that he might be switching his allegiance to the Democratic Republic of Congo if he is not given playing time.
The 23years-old is yet to make an appearance for England, which is because of the number of players currently playing his position.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka Demands Playing Time with England
England head coach Gareth Southgate has not given him a chance to represent England at the international level.
According to reports, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is continually being overlooked, and the player is not happy about it. He is already 23-years-old and time ticking. He is reportedly having a re-think about his future with the future.
Suppose Aaron Wan-Bissaka is not selected in Southgate’s side’s upcoming matches at the end of March. In that case, the player is most likely to decide on representing Congo and not England again.
Wan-Bissaka played for both England and Congo at the youth level but is yet to make senior international debut for either country. Southgate selected him in their Euro 2020 qualifiers against Kosovo and Bulgaria in August, but he was drop after sustaining an injury.
The player is planning on following 18-year-old Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala who opted to play for Germany and not England or Nigeria, although he played for England throughout his youth career.
