Remember a time someone was kind to you. Do you recall how it felt? Remember the time you were kind to someone. Do you recall their reaction? How did their reaction make you feel?
Kindness affects you and the person you’re expressing it to. It leaves a mark.
Everyone you meet is waiting to find happiness through riches or some form of ‘success’. We are so consumed by Money, Celebrity, Power, and Image that we put kindness aside. We are born into nurture by our parents. Kindness is engraved in our existence. Humans are literally wired to be kind.
Kindness does not demand anything. It is simply not doing harm to others.
Nobody wants to practice kindness, but everyone has an opinion on how to bring world peace. It is simple really, judge less. Regardless of how tempting it might be not to, judge less. Try holding your tongue when you only have bad words. Even if that means you literally do it. Think about your peace of mind, you gain nothing by lashing out.
How does kindness affect you?
Kindness increases happiness. It boosts your health.
When you’re kind, you notice an improvement in your relationship with people. You do not have to be spiritual or religious to show kindness. There is no moral vow. We can learn about kindness from cats and dogs. They have no moral vow. So, you see…
Kindness affects you more than it does who you show it too. It makes you better emotionally, mentally and physically. Do it, even for selfish reasons. The world needs more of you.
