Former Chelsea and Manchester Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku scored two goals to help his side record their first win in the Euro 2020 game against Russia. The player paid tribute to his Inter Milan teammate Christian Eriksen after scoring to wish the player a speedy recovery.

The Denmark midfielder Eriksen collapsed on the pitch during their game against Finland in their Group B game. The player was rushed to the hospital after receiving emergency treatment on the field. The incident which happened earlier made the player doubt if Belgium’s game with Russia will still hold, but it did in the end.

Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring after capitalizing on a mistake made by Andrey Semenov. He celebrated his goal by shouting “Chris, Chris, I love you” in front of a television camera to pay tribute to Erikson. Belgium doubled their lead before half-time through substitute Thomas Meunier.
Romelu Lukaku then rounded up the scoring as he scored his brace late in the game with a nice finish to seal a comfortable win. The win means Belgium is now topping their group with Finland in second place after beating Denmark 1-0. Belgium team played with Kevin de Bruyne, who suffered an injury in their Champions League final game against Chelsea.
