After losing to Chelsea in their Champions League final, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says his team were exceptional against Chelsea. Chelsea secured their second Champions League title thanks to German international Kai Havertz first-half goal and Ngolo Kente’s solid performance.

Kai Havertz ran on to Mason Mount’a through pass, rounded Ederson before slotting the ball into an empty net. Chelsea came into the game with a plan and the plan worked for them as it is deserved win for the London side. Reflecting on the loss, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said:” I did the best in the selection. Against Lyon like it was against PSG, Dortmund, I tried the selection the best to win the game. The players know it, I think Gundogan played good, we were exceptional.”
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager also said: “It was an exceptional season for us, it was a dream being here, unfortunately we couldn’t win. It was the first time for a lot of us in this club. We tried, we couldn’t do it and we will work to come back again.
The manager ended by saying he is not clever enough to think about next season. It was a season with 62 games and they played 61. The season has been a very tough one for them he said, but at the end, he said congratulations to Chelsea.”
