The captain of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Ahmed Musa alongside Samuel Chukwueze and Zaidu Sanusi have all withdrawn from the Super Eagles friendly against Mexico. Three other players; Samson Tijani, Alhassan Yusuf, and Azubuike Okechukwu will also not feature in the game due to some undisclosed reasons. Defender Leon Balogun has also been ruled out of the friendly against the North Americans due to a calf injury.
Super Eagles vs Mexico: 15 Players Hits Camp
Balogun sustained the injury in his club, Ranger’s Scottish Cup win against Hearts last weekend. Visa hitches, injuries, and club commitments forced the players to withdraw from the game. It would be recalled that Emmanuel Dennis, Maduka Okoye, and Umar Sadiq pulled out of the game and the clash against Ecuador early in the week. The three players have been replaced by; Terem Moffi, Adeleye Adeleke, and Innocent Bonke.

Rangers duo of Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo have hit the Super Eagles camp in the United States of America, increasing the number of players in camp to 15. 15 players now in camp include: Adeyinka, Olorunleke, Buhari, Madu, Rafiu, Mbaoma, Sanni, Bello, Aina, Ajayi, Ekong, Simon, Iwobi, Bassey, Aribo.
The Super Eagles are scheduled to take on Mexico and Ecuador in Jose Peseiro’s first games in charge of the three-time African champions since his appointment weeks ago. Ahead of the first training session, which starts at 6 PM (US time), the Portuguese tactician would have 15 players in camp, as Aribo and Bassey have joined the team in Dallas.
