Zamfara suffers fresh attack in Maru LGA as bandits kill one and abduct 10
Unknown bandits attacked the Dan Kurma community in Maru Local Government Area of the state on Thursday.
This attack left one dead and at least 10 people were abducted in the attack including the wife of the village head.
Reports say that Hajiya Bara Sani Usman was taken alongside other villagers during the attack
A witness, Mallam Nasiru Habibu reported that these bandits stormed the village very early on Thursday.
He said that they came with numerous rifles and started shooting at the villager who had to run for their lives
SP Mohammed Shehu, the state Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO) confirmed the incident.
He also confirmed the kidnap of over ten villagers including the village leader’s wife as Zamfara suffers fresh attack
SP Shehu, however, reassured that the culprits will be caught as officers have been deployed to protect the villagers
