The tweet made by President Muhammadu Buhari regarding the attacks on public facilities in some parts of the country has continued to generate reactions from Nigerians. Reacting to the tweet, Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade described the statement as far from what is expected from the President.
In the tweet, Buhari stated that he receives daily security reports on the attacks on critical national infrastructure, adding that those behind them want his administration to fail. The President noted that whoever wants the system’s destruction will soon have the shock of their lives.
Meanwhile, the singer Yemi Alade said the Buhari-led administration is made up of people that feel neglected, unsafe, hungry, hopeless, while some hope that the ruling government would tactically end the unrest in the nation.

The singer further opined that the tweet is an error and a sign of capital failure of the Buhari-led administration.
“Tweeting this At a time when feeling your people’s pain and losses! At a time when your people need to feel. PROTECTED! Making your people feel hopeless – is the most heartbreaking move yet.”
Buhari said he received a briefing from the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the series of attacks on their facilities nationwide. He described the attacks as unacceptable.
